Babylonia
The Babylonians established the first measure, calculation, writing and administration standards.
The first money were pieces of gold, silver and copper or bronze with standard weights.

The Lydians obviously were the foirst minting coins with individual names and images: the first currency: the Lydian Stater, thus nationalizing some money standard.
